\n
\nI just uploaded my lesson plan to a new page called The Librarian of Basra. I hope it's ok in its current state. In case it's unclear, I want to include the following in my morning message for whichever morning I do the read aloud:
\n
\nInclude in the morning message:
\n\u201cAlia Muhammad Baker\u2019s house is full of books. There are books in stacks, books in the cupboards, books bundled into flour sacks like lumpy aid rations. Books fill an old refrigerator. Pull aside a window curtain, and there is not view, just more books.\u201d (NYT, Shaila Dewan, 7.27.03)
\n
\nAsk: What do you notice? What are some things you\u2019re wondering about Alia? (this will be part of morning meeting).
\n
\nThis will preface the lesson that I'll do later, and I'll begin the lesson by asking students to think back to what they were wondering about Alia that morning.
\n
\nDoes this make sense?
\n
\nPlease let me know what you think of all of this!
\n
\nBest,
\nJenna","replyPages":[{"page":0,"digests":[],"more":0}]}],"more":false},"comments":[]},"http":{"code":200,"status":"OK"},"redirectUrl":null,"javascript":null,"notices":{"warning":[],"error":[],"info":[],"success":[]}}
